LACONIA, N.H. (AP) – A firefighter who died during a training dive will be honored with services this week.

Mark Miller was testing a new dive suit in Lake Winnipesaukee on Thursday when he apparently became trapped under the ice and drowned.

Calling hours have been scheduled for Tuesday at the Wilkinson Beane Funeral Home in Laconia. The funeral will be held Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, also in Laconia.

Calling hours are set for 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters from around the state will assemble for the funeral at the K-Mart Plaza on Route 11 at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials request that instead of flowers, donations be made to either of the following funds:

• Laconia Lifesaving Fund, c/o Laconia Fire Department, 848 North Main St. Laconia, N.H. 03246

• Local 1153 Miller Family Relief Fund, c/o Laconia Savings Bank, 62 Pleasant St., Laconia, N.H. 03246
