1908 – 2003
AUGUSTA – Rose H. Demers, 94, of Skyline Ct., Randolph and formerly of Kendall St., Augusta, died Thursday, April 10, at Augusta Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
She was born in St. George de Beauce, Canada, on June 1, 1908, a daughter of Joseph and Georgianna (Poulin) Rodrigue. Mrs. Demers was a home maker for most of her life but did work for several years at Bates Mfg. Co., Edwards Division.
She was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta, the Ladies of St. Anne Society, Cushnoc Senior Citizens and the Happy Family Senior Citizens and was a former long time member of the St. Agnes Circle Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita Lalemand of Randolph and Joyce Gagne of Belgrade; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Demers; four brothers; and four sisters.
