Dear Sun Spots: I use an old toothbrush (adult and child’s) to clean the grooves on my Certainteed windows. Just angle it into the groove and brush away. Your column is the greatest. Thank you for it. – A Rumford Reader.

Dear Sun Spots: I read Sun Spots every day and have got things through you and have also answered others. Now I need something really badly and hope somebody can help me. I am making an American flag afghan and need at least one skein of Fashion Knit flame red yarn. It was the Ames brand but Ames is no longer in business. I will travel to get it and will also pay you for it. If you have any, please call me at (207) 674-5667, West Paris, and ask for Barbara. – Barbara Yeaton, West Paris.
Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for a pattern. A friend of mine wants me to make him a set of pillows or something smaller from a cowboy boot pattern. I have looked around but can’t find a pattern. I can be reached by mail at 8 Middle Ave. #4, Livermore Falls, ME 04254. Thank you very much. – Dottie Hatch, Livermore Falls.
