Dear Sun Spots: Just before Christmas I wrote to you asking your readers for donations of blankets and dog beds for our rescue. Well, the response I got was overwhelming. I got calls immediately and continued to get calls for the next several months. It is nice to see that there are so many animal lovers in our community. Several area nursing homes and hotels gave us a lot of blankets, along with some community groups. Then there were individuals who just wanted to help us help these dogs. We were thrilled with the response from your readers and their generosity. Thanks to them we were able to give blankets to all of our foster homes. If you want to check out the dogs your generosity helps, go to our Web site www.secondchanceboxer.com Thank you. — Judy Dill, Oxford.

Dear Sun Spots: I am searching for an old Workbasket magazine with a knitting pattern for a two-piece toddler suit, sweater with hood and full, back zipper. It is a cable pattern and looks like owls with button eyes. The magazine is circa late ’60s or early ’70s. I will return the pattern and reimburse for any expense. Thanks. I can be reached at P.O. Box 116, Bethel, ME 04217, (207) 824-2483. — Musa Brown, Bethel.

Dear Sun Spots: To the reader who was looking for someone who can repair damaged videocassettes, I can fix most videos, depending on the damage. My address is 104 Valerie Circle, in Auburn, phone (207) 777-6269. — Jed Shattuck, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I should like to know if there is any group that collects labels from Campbell. Also, if there are people who collect stamps. Mine are mostly Scottish and English ones. — Margaret R., Farmington.
