Oxford selectmen waive almost entire impact fee for proposed laundromat
Steve Roderick and and three partners plan to open a laundromat at 339 Main Street in Oxford at the old Oxford Plains Snowtubing Park site. Roderick appeared before the Board to request that the towns $36,000 impact fee be waived.

Veteran groups launching holiday drive for those overseas
The American Legion Post 86, VFW Post 9787 and Maine Army National Guard are partnering in support of active military serving afar during the holidays. The groups are gathering frequently requested items for Christmas care packages to send service men and women away from home.

Korean War Veteran: I would not trade my experiences for a million dollars
Lionel Pepin was a 22-year-old newlywed with a baby on the way when he was drafted to fight in the Korean War. He carried out several assignments over the next two years, earning a Bronze Star along the way. He saw his main job as staying alive. Sixty-five years later, he has no regrets.
