I support Melissa May Stevens for Maine House District 59.

As a young person in this community, I am encouraged by her positive attitude and motivation. It is refreshing to see a candidate who emphasizes the great things Lewiston has to offer. She is also more than willing to get to work to make things even better and address issues people in the community are facing, such as student debt, low-wage jobs, lack of skills, high cost of housing, unlivable housing conditions and substance abuse.

She is a relentless advocate for ways to better people’s lives, whether testifying in Augusta about raising the minimum wage or, more recently, at the Lewiston School Committee meetings for adequate funding for schools.

With her experience as a single mother of three, a small business owner and a dedicated advocate for the community, Melissa May Stevens will bring a much-needed perspective to the table in Augusta.
