Guess who wants to cut aid to Ukraine? Why, it’s Vladimir Putin’s greatest American fan, our own former president, Donald J. Trump.

What a shock. I mean, just because he asked Russia for help to get elected, called Vlad a genius, refused his own intelligence about North Korea’s nuclear testing, and said he didn’t see any reason why Putin would have interfered with the 2016 election.

Once again Marc Thiessen omits the fact that almost exclusively, the GOP is against support for Ukraine receiving aid (“Anti-Ukraine right fails to convince GOP voters,” July 30). I believe my lying eyes and ears and not Honest Don Trump.

Perhaps I’m losing my grip on reality, because I think Trump is, and always has been, a swindler, liar, philanderer and lately, a traitor who tried to destroy America’s democracy.

Maybe I should go back to sleep and stop being awake (or woke).
