Telstar Freshman Academy student Landon Bryant of Woodstock, along with two classmates, helps forge a new trail Wednesday at Buck’s Ledge Community Forest in Woodstock. Other academy students are paying it forward by redecorating a room at the Bethel Library, creating a sensory walk at Crescent Park School in Bethel and calculating the carbon sequestration on Buck’s Ledge. The academy is comprised of ninth graders in Maine School Administrative District 44 who experience hands-on learning outside the classroom and connect with each other and their community.
