LEWISTON — Police say a suspect in Tuesday’s shooting on Knox Street is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Abdirahman “Gino” Duale, 21, is wanted in connection with the early morning shooting that wounded an unidentified man, according to a statement from the Lewiston Police Department.
Police officers responded to a report at about 3 a.m. Tuesday of numerous shots fired in the area of 50 Knox St., according to police. They found a 22-year-old man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound in the foot.
Police also discovered several vehicles and buildings in the area had been struck and damaged by the gunfire, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw a white Chrysler 200 fleeing the scene shortly after the shooting. It was located a short distance from the scene.
