Mahoosuc Pathways announces its schedule of events for September:

• Weekly Walks, Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 25. Meet the group leader at the Long Mountain parking lot off Vernon Street in Albany Township. Free and open to all; a collaboration with Mahoosuc Land Trust and Mahoosuc Pathways. Headlamps and water recommended. 

• Summer Trail Series, Fridays at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 28. Meet next to the tennis court at The Bethel Inn Resort. Free to Bethel Outing Club and Mahoosuc Pathway members; suggested $5 donation for others. Run/walk on the wooded trails at Bethel Village Trails; 5K and 10K options. 

• Volunteer Trail Work Days, Saturdays, Sept. 22 and 29. Help the trail crew move ahead on the mountain bike trail system at Bacon Hill. Meet at the Long Mountain parking lot off Vernon Street in Albany Township at 8 a.m.; lunch provided at noon. Tools supplied or bring them if preferred. 

• Bethel Community Forest Walk, Sunday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Mahoosuc Land Trust to carpool. As part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, come explore trails and roads, and enjoy views of Bethel from the proposed Community Forest property. Lunch at the Land Trust and afternoon festivities. 

• Bethel Community Forest meeting, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at The Gem Theater. Open to all; help with planning in this yearlong process of acquiring property that will become Bethel’s Community Forest.
