KINGFIELD — A local woman has been charged with felony operating under the influence in connection with a fatal accident last month.
According to police, Danielle Larochelle’s blood-alcohol content at the time of the crash was 0.219, which is more than two times the legal limit of 0.08.
Larochelle, 30, was arrested Thursday morning at her home on West Kingfield Road, according to a written statement from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. She was being held at the Franklin County Detention Center.
On July 8, at about 10:10 p.m., Larochelle was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo on West Kingfield Road when the vehicle left the road and struck trees. One of her three passengers, Nicholas Shurtleff, 25, of Strong was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The other passengers were Patrick Wyman, 23, and Benjamin Bowman, 22, both of Kingfield.
Larochelle and Bowman were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to police.
