One of the questions on this year’s ballot in Norway establishes four rural villages in Norway Center and North Norway. These neighborhoods were identified in the comprehensive plan as having historic significance and contemporary value within the community.
The question strengthens existing standards in the Site Review Ordinance regarding sound levels, signs, and home occupations, making them compatible with existing uses without prohibiting any activity or business enterprise. It clarifies items the Planning Board uses to review projects. It furthers objectives contained in the Comprehensive Plan, and deserves the support of Norway citizens next Tuesday, June 13.
