HEBRON — Race events to support local and global causes are being held April 30 and May 7 in Hebron.
Funds raised will go to the nonprofit Go! Malawi, which sends children to school in rural Ntchisi, Malawi.
The Hebron Spring 5K Trail Run and 1 Mile Obstacle Course Challenge at Hebron Academy will be held on Sunday, April 30. The 1 Mile Obstacle Challenge is at 9:45 a.m. and the 5K Trail Run or Walk will follow at 10 a.m.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Athletic Center.
The Hebron Hawk Trail Kids’ Fun Run and 5K will be held on Sunday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at Hebron Station School in Hebron.
The 1-mile kids’ fun run begins at 10 a.m. and will be followed by the 5K. There will also be a cookie bake-off and a chance to win many raffle prizes.
All levels of walkers and runners are welcome for both races and registration is at 9 a.m. on race day.
Preregistration for both races are is available at Active.com and all preregistered runners will be provided with five extra raffle tickets to win prizes. Walkers and runners of all ages are all welcome to join us to support the two causes.
