PERU — The Rumford Seniors has announced its July programming. The seniors have events planned for the following dates:

July 13: The Rumford Seniors will host a Hawaiian-themed luncheon at noon at the senior center at the Peru School. Attendees may dress for the theme if they choose. Following the luncheon they will host Celia Vistica, who will speak on the wellness program. Lunch is $5 for members and $6 for non-members.

July 23: The seniors will have a membership meeting at 10 a.m. and a pot luck picnic meal at 11:30, followed by nickel bingo. Those attending are encouraged to bring their favorite picnic dish. The event will be at the senior center at the Peru School.

July 24: The seniors will travel to Naples for a boat ride on the Songo River Queen II. Seniors will be responsible for lunch. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members, and includes the boat ride.

July 29:  The seniors will host a barbecue meal at 5:30 p.m. at the senior center at the Peru School. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Dennis Moro will entertain. Cost is $5 for members and $6 for non-members.

The seniors will take a three-day/two-night trip to the White Mountain Christmas from Dec. 2-4. Flyers are available at the senior center. FMI: 207-364-3164.

The seniors also hold nickel bingo every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-2 p.m. All the games, meals and functions are open to the public.

Rumford Seniors is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
