VFW to hold pork roast supper
AUBURN — The VFW at 588 Minot Ave. will hold a pork roast supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6.
The price is $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12.
Calvary to hold bean suppers
LEWISTON — Calvary Methodist Church will host a bean supper from 4:45 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Use the Bartlett Street entrance.
Cost for adults is $7.50, children $3.
Suppers are held monthly.
‘World’s Greatest Sleigh Ride’

LISBON FALLS — The World’s Greatest Sleigh Ride will celebrate its 22nd year with rides to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at 407 Main St., Route 125.
This event is a combined effort of members of the Pejepscot Snow-Chiefs Snowmobile Club and of the local Farmers Draft Horse, Mule and Pony Club. All are volunteers and all proceeds benefit Pine Tree Camp.
Suggested donation is $3 for children and $4 for adults.
In addition to the horse-drawn sleigh rides through fields and woods, snowmobile rides are also offered. Homemade doughnuts with hot drinks, chili, stews and other treats will be available.

Christian Skate Night is Feb. 15
TOPSHAM — Grace Community Chapel will sponsor Christian Skate Night from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Topsham Roller World, 20 Atwood Road.
The $5 cost includes regular skate rental. Inline skates are $2 extra. There is no entrance fee for those who won’t be skating.
Concession food will be available.
Country Valentines Show is Feb. 15
WESTBROOK — Down East Country Music Association will present a Country Valentines Show on Sunday, Feb. 15, at the American Legion Post 197, 300 Conant St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Show starts at 12:30 p.m.
Donation at the door is $5.
There will be a food bar, 50/50 drawing and raffles.
Entertainment will be provided by The Tennessee Bound Award Winners of 2014.

The Ark to hold herbal series
LEWISTON — An herbal series, “Minding Your Mind / Mending Your Mind,” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 17 through March 10, at The Ark & Lunch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.
Presenters are Dr. Zach Mazone, Mary Penner, N.P., and herbalist Jane Kuntz.
