WINSLOW — Seven different players scored and six others collected assists as Leavitt/Edward Little/Poland rolled to a 7-0 win over Winslow in a season-opening girls’ hockey contest at Sukee Arena on Saturday.
Kaylee Younk picked up a goal and an assist for the Red Rornets (1-0), while Tori Sanford stopped all five shots she faced to earn the shutout win.
Emma Martineau, Kristina Latlippe, Haley Frohlich, Michaila Wilmot, Tia LaFontaine and Grace McBride also scored for the visitors.
Kiana Richards stopped 18 of the 25 shots she saw for the Black Raiders (0-1).
Lewiston 7, Mt. Ararat 0
LEWISTON — Eric Lemieux turned in a hat trick and teammate Lauren Deblois scored twice and picked up two assists as Lewiston glided past Mt. Ararat, 7-0, in a girls’ hockey opener at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee on Saturday night.
The Blue Devils opened up on the Eagles in the first period, scoring five goals. Lemieux picked up two of her goals there.
Mikaela Brown also scored two goals in the first period.
Lewiston goalie Paige Fontain kept the Eagles quiet for the entire game.
Corrine Laberge helped out three assists for the Blue Devils.
