DIXFIELD — Selectmen met Tuesday night with sexton Todd Piper to discuss lot prices at town cemeteries.

“I reviewed our cemetery lot prices, and they’re actually considered low compared to some other towns,” Town Manager Carlo Puiia said. “The sexton asked if we’d review the information, look at what our current rates are and talk about it at the next meeting.”

The board also discussed the next steps in regards to the Wind Energy Facility Ordinance that was narrowly rejected at the polls Nov. 4.

“Right now, it all boils down to the board coming back to the table with the Planning Board’s draft recommendations and the ordinance that was defeated and figure out what they want to use,” Puiia said. “The moratorium that the town approved earlier this year can only stay in place provided there is a need, and right now, the existing ordinance is not sufficient.”
