Betsy Sholl video to be aired

RUMFORD — The Rumford Library’s Aug. 28 Fourth Thursday Poetry Program with guest reader Betsy Sholl, former poet laureate, drew an audience of nearly 35 avid poetry lovers.

The video of Sholl’s presentation will be shown on the River Valley cable access Channel 7 at noon, Sunday, Sept. 7; 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9; 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11; and at 1 and 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.

The October program will feature current poet laureate Wes McNair.

Trips to Indian Head, Fryeburg Fair

PERU — Rumford Senior Citizens of Peru are planning a Sept. 22 trip to Indian Head for lobsterfest with Jose Duddy. The cost is $57. Chicken is available for those who don’t like lobster.

The group will travel to the Fryeburg Fair on Sept. 30. The cost is $10. The bus will leave at 9 a.m.

Roxbury ATV plans rides

ROXBURY — Roxbury ATV Club will hold a Sept. 13 club ride at Cambridge Corn Field to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There will be a pig roast, raffles and then a night ride.

Camping and motels are available.
