WALES — Lakeside Chapter, OES, will gather early at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, to attend a presentation by the Rainbow Girls. from the Lewiston Assembly, IORG.

The chapter will hold a stated meeting at 7 p.m. and “Honor the Flag of the United States of America and Fathers” at the Grange/Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road

At the May meeting, Warder F. Jordan Witherell, past patron, was installed by the worthy matron, worthy patron and, as installing marshal, Flora Stack, Abenaki Chapter, Winthrop.

There will be a secretary’s report on the “Heroines of Faith and Courage” Grand Chapter.

At the Grand Chapter’s informal opening, $1,151.50 was presented to Life Flight of Maine and $1,187.50 was presented to the Children’s Cancer Treatment Center of Scarborough. They were the special charities of Rebecca E. St. Pierre, worthy grand matron, and Bernald W. Tufts, worthy grand patron, during their year.

A School of Instruction was held May 31 at Lakeside. The district deputy introduced the new traveling mascots for District 4: a teddy bear and a moose. She will take them to all seven chapters, seeking names for each.

At the June meeting, women will be in colored gowns, the men in dark suits or tuxes. All members are welcome at the meetings.
