CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Carrabassett Valley Academy is offering three camps on campus this summer for athletes of all sports, not just skiing and snowboarding. Camps will include Human Performance, Trampoline and Skate and Mountain Bike.
During the Human Performance Camp, sports scientists and coaches will focus on each athlete’s athletic and physical development by evaluating their fitness, then teaching them how to manage their athleticism and fitness.
There are two sessions available accommodating ages 9-21. Each participant will receive a complete fitness evaluation and receive a personal report.
Trampoline and Skate Camp is for those ages 9-17 who want to sharpen their skills. They will train with CVA coaches at the Anti-Gravity Complex to increase confidence on the trampoline and in the park, all while having the summer camp experience.
Mountain Bike Camp is an introduction to the sport of mountain biking. The town has an extensive network of mountain bike trails suitable for any ability level. During the one-week camp, bikers ages 13-17 will be exposed to bike maintenance and riding skills. Campers should be capable of riding a mountain bike 10 miles comfortably in variable terrain.
