AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The medical records of an Augusta man charged with fatally stabbing his live-in girlfriend have been handed over to the court.

The records of Justin Pillsbury’s treatment at MaineGeneral Medical Center immediately after the slaying of Jillian Jones were handed over Monday by a hospital lawyer to a representative of the court.

The Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/1l08aST ) reported that they will be reviewed by the presiding judge in the case, who will decide whether to release any or all of the records to prosecutors.

Pillsbury is charged with killing Jones last November in their apartment, allegedly because he was angry she talked to another man on the phone.

Pillsbury was taken to the hospital.

The 39-year-old Pillsbury’s lawyer has argued against use of the medical records as evidence at trial.
