Auburn’s Winter Festival is a celebration of everything winter. After all, it is the longest of our three seasons here in Maine, so why not get out and enjoy it?

Bunco Game Day! — The Women’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host an afternoon of bunco at the Foss Mansion at 19 Elm Street. $5 donation at the door gains admission. Light snacks and prizes will be provided. A book sale will also take place, $1 each. All donations help WLU maintain the Foss house and provide scholarships to local students. Most events will take place at either Lost Valley Ski Area (LV) or at Walton Field.
Directions to other event locations can be found at www.auburnmaine.gov.
Lost Valley (LV): From the Auburn Mall, go through the traffic light at the intersection of Turner St. and Mount Auburn Ave. Wal-Mart and B.J.’s to the left. Continue straight for approximately 2.5 miles. The Lost Valley entrance is on the right.
From Minot Avenue, take Hotel Road and continue for approximately 3 miles to the intersection of Hotel Rd. and Young’s Corner Rd. Take a left onto Young’s Corner Road. The Lost Valley Access Rd. is on the right.
Walton Field: Follow South Main Street into New Auburn and continue up the hill. Turn left onto 7th Street, and follow to the end of the road. Walton School is on the left as you approach the end of the road.
Mt. Apatite: From Rt. 4 coming into Auburn on Center Street, bear right onto Union Street bypass and stay on Route 11, turn right onto Hatch Road, turn right on to Small Road.
From Exit 75 – Auburn, turn right onto Washington Street South, turn right onto Kittyhawk, turn right onto Hotel, bear left to stay on Hotel Road to Minot Avenue, turn left on Minot Avenue (Route 11), turn right onto Hatch Road, turn right on to Small Road.
