LEWISTON — Saturday is the deadline for anyone who wants to support Lewiston High School’s effort to qualify for a grant through the CelebrateMyDrive event in observation of National Teen Driver Safety Week.
Schools across the country are competing for a chance to win the grand prize of $100,000 and an at-school concert by Grammy-winner Kelly Clarkson.
Schools that receive the most safe driving commitments at the end of this week will be considered. Lewiston is ranked 42nd in the “large school” category.
For information on how to submit a safe driving commitment, or to vote to support Lewiston, go to www.celebratemydrive.com.
Each person may vote once per day until Oct. 26.
If Lewiston wins, the prize will be donated to the Franklin Pasture Sports Complex campaign and used for teen driver safety outreach.
