Flag Day service June 14
RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will host a Flag Day service starting at 6 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Veteran’s Park at the end of Congress Street. Light lunch will follow at the lodge. In case of rain, the service will take place in the lodge room.
Elks to honor fathers June 16
RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will honor all fathers with a breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 16.
All fathers eat for free with all others making a donation of $3. Menu will consist of French toast, homemade baked beans, ham, breakfast souffle, muffins, juice and coffee.
Stephens High Class of 1954
MEXICO — Rumford’s Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Dick’s Restaurant. Classmates and guests welcomed.
Skate Not Hate program set
RUMFORD — As the kick off event to the annual Girls’ Talk at Mountain Valley High School, the public is invited to a one-hour anti-bullying program at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, in Puiia gymnasium.
Terry Parady, a member of the Maine Roller Derby, will lead the program geared to high school students. Several other skaters will be on hand to demonstrate their skills. Parady will also talk about her recently published book, “The Red Crucible.”
Stephens High Class of 1963
BETHEL — Stephens High School Class of 1963 classmates, friends and family are invited to the Red Rooster at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 21. The Aug. 23 class reunion will be discussed.

Red Hat Mommas meet June 26
BETHEL — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine held their monthly meet May 29 at the Mill Hill Inn with 25 ladies attending. One birthday was celebrated.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, June 26, at the Rangeley Country Club Inn. Cost of $19 for the buffet-style meal must be paid to Isabel by Friday, June 21.
They will leave the Mexico Shopping Plaza at 4 p.m. and will take a tour to see the lupines in bloom.

Bean suppers kick off June 22
SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold its first summer “Beanhole Beans Supper” at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22.
The event begins on Friday with a campfire singalong in the church yard at 6 p.m. as the beans are put in the bean hole.
The Saturday supper is $7 for adults with a family maximum of $20. Raffle items will be available. Proceeds benefit the community and outreach missions of the church. The church is at 50 Main St., Route 219.

Cribbage, supper benefits Relay
DIXFIELD — Relay For Life cribbage and supper will be held Sunday, June 30, at Mystic Valley Grange, 932 U.S. Route 2 West, in East Dixfield.
The public is invited to play cribbage at 1 p.m. Donation is $5 to support Relay For Life.
A meal of spaghetti and meatball, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert and drinks will be served. Donation of $5 supports the Grange.
