Charles McCarthy

WEST PARIS — Charles McCarthy, 88, of Sumner, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, at Ledgeview Living Center.

He was born in Dorchester, Mass. on Jan. 22, 1925, the son of Florence and Katherine Duffy McCarthy.

He married Beatrice Vallee on Aug. 15, 1948. He had been employed as a machinist for a pump manufacturing company for many years, and was a life member of the NRA.

He is survived by his son, James McCarthy and his wife, Elizabeth; and four grandchildren, Kevin, Katherine, Shannon and Eric.

He was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Vallee; and a son, Michael McCarthy.
