SUMNER — Paul C. DeCaprio, 55, of Sumner, died Friday, April 19, at his home.

He was born Jan. 11, 1958, the beloved son of Paul DeCaprio and Janet Goddard Heulitt. He attended Monmouth Regional High School, graduating with the Class of 1976, and was a member of the Eatontown Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a self-employed painter and enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, Ping-Pong and fishing. He made his home in Sumner, coming from South Belmar, N.J.

Paul is survived by his parents; two brothers, Michael DeCaprio and Tom DeCaprio; two sisters, Penny Purdie and her husband, Bruce, and Charmae Gammon and her husband, Kevin; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Clayton and Helen Goddard; his stepfather, Charles Heulitt; and his beloved dog, Harry.
