Ecstatic Dance set for Jan. 29
OTISFIELD — Ecstatic Dance will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Otisfield Town Office Annex, Route 121. Enter and park in back of the building.
Ecstatic Dance is an improvisational form of dance; there is no right or wrong way to do it; partners are not necessary. People follow the music provided by Zizi Vlaun and listen to their body, taking responsibility for his or her moves. The music goes from stillness to flow to staccato to chaos to lyrical and back to stillness. Many feel it is a spiritual expression.
The cost is a suggested donation of up to $15. To register and for more information, call Elaine Doble-Verrill 539-4846 or dobleverrill@gmail.com.
