SOUTH PARIS — Mary F. Robinson, 92, of Sumner, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Woodstock, Oct. 15, 1920, the daughter of John W. and Hazel Bacon Estes. She married Perley C. Robinson in 1939. She started working in 1954 at the local shoe shops. Later she worked as a housekeeper for “Mrs. Bisbee.” She also worked at Norway Laundry for 20 years. She was still working at the age of 85.
She enjoyed picnics, Beaver Pond with her husband, shopping and spending money on her grandchildren, she was very generous. She enjoyed her flower gardens and took care of her own yard, she walked everywhere. She loved her grandchildren and her dog, Coco. She was “Nana” to everyone.
She is survived by her son, Perley W. Robinson and his wife, Sandra; six grandchildren, Brian Kangas, Julie Toothaker, Rick Robinson, Lisa Ackeley, Ron Robinson and Holly Roberts; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Estes and Herbert Estes; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1966; a daughter, Louise; a son-in-law, Arthur; a granddaughter; five brothers, Harold, Stanley, Ralph, Ivan and John Estes; and six sisters, Constance, Charlotte, Clara, Inez, Florence and Ruth.
