WATERVILLE — Sally Marie Meader, 63, of Waterville passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 10.
She was born June 23, 1948, in Farmington, a daughter of Herbert and Agnes (Metcalf) Hall. She attended Farmington schools and earned her GED. For 35 years, she was married to Glen Meader of Farmington, the father of her children.
For a number of years, Sally worked at the Gee Egg Farms in Chesterville and for 16 years was employed at Reny’s in downtown Farmington. She also worked at Hannaford’s in Waterville.
Her priority was her family. She shared her love of music, reading, gardening and cooking with her family and was noted for making her famous homemade spaghetti sauce and whoopee pies.
She is survived by her partner of 10 years, Stan Frautten, of Waterville; one son, Terry Meader of Monmouth; one daughter, Christine Leathers and her husband, Jim, of Pennsylvania; a brother, Peter Hall of Portland; a sister, Sandra Richardson and her husband, Jim, of Buxton; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Carl, Ross Carl, Alex Meader, Zachari Meader and Abram Meader; two great-grandchildren, Jalynn Morang and Jeremiah Morang; special “family” members, Betty Meader, Geoff Miller, Tricia Thomas, Marchelle Meader, Sharon Frost; and her beloved dog, “Bear.”
She was predeceased by her folks; a son, Jason Meader who passed in 2004; and a sister, Maryanne.
