FARMINGTON — Three people are charged with kidnapping a woman and holding her at gunpoint Wednesday, saying her friend sold them fake drugs, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said Friday.

Dahlon Campbell, 22, of Jay, and Shane Webber, 25, of New Vineyard were arrested Thursday on charges of felony kidnapping, criminal threatening and violating conditions of release from jail. They were being held on $10,000 cash bail at the Franklin County Jail on Friday after video arraignments before Judge Paul A. Cote Jr. in 11th District Court in South Paris.

Also arrested Thursday in the case was Sandi McAlpine, 41, of Jay, on charges of felony kidnapping and criminal threatening with a firearm. She  was released on $1,000 cash bail Thursday, according to the Franklin County Detention Center arrest log. She is scheduled to appear in a Farmington court on Feb. 24, 2012.

A fourth suspect, Tyrell Gorham, 26, of Farmington and the Bronx, N.Y., was given a summons Wednesday on felony charges of criminal restraint and criminal threatening with a firearm. The charges stem from a separate but related incident Wednesday involving the same woman, Bowering said.

At the time of the charges, Gorham was in the Franklin County jail on warrants for four counts of unpaid fine/fees and a charge of probation revocation. He remained jailed Friday, officials said.

Farmington police, state police, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency responded to an emergency call at Hurst Lane, off Route 133, on Wednesday for a woman who said she had been held at gunpoint at a residence at 654 New Vineyard Road. The woman was released several hours later on Hurst Lane, Bowering said.

According to Bowering’s affidavit, Webber and Campbell were armed with shotguns and held the woman against her will. McAlpine was also present  and a party to the crimes, he wrote.

She was held because “her male friend” had sold them $2,000 worth of fake drugs and they would release her only if the guy came back and gave them the $2,000, the affidavit said.

“They held her at the house for several hours before finally releasing her on Hurst Lane in Farmington,” Bowering said Friday.

Police do not believe she was an active participant in the drug deal, he said.

Police served a search warrant at the New Vineyard Road residence Thursday and collected evidence, he said.

“The incidents are still under investigation and additional charges are possible,” Bowering said.
