FALMOUTH —Marisa Zamrock and Sophie Goulet each registered two goals Friday, staking St. Dom’s to a 6-0 win over Falmouth at Family Ice Center on opening night of the girls’ hockey season.
Goulet and Zamrock scored unassisted goals in the first period. Zamrock set up Goulet’s goal early in the second, and Zamrock converted a pass from Lydia Martin 80 seconds later for a 4-0 lead.
Kayla McLellan played a role in two third-period goals for the Saints.
McLellan scored the first with help from Goulet. She assisted Anna Desjardin to complete the St. Dom’s scoring. Zamrock also picked her second assist of the night on that goal.
Nicole Keaney stopped 11 shots she faced for St. Dom’s. Falmouth goalie Jen Greene made 25 saves.
Winslow 4, Lewiston 0
WINSLOW — Winslow erupted for three goals in a span of 63 seconds in the first period and skated away for a 4-0 triumph over Lewiston in their girls’ hockey season opener Friday at Sukee Arena.
Regan Cain start the first-period spurt at the 4:48 mark on a play that was set up by Emily Caron. Jennifer Poulin then scored an unassisted goal 13 second later before Caron completed the outburst with another unassisted goal at 5:51.
Poulin added an unassisted shorthanded tally in the third period.
Winslow outshot the Blue Devils, 26-17. Lewiston goalie Sarah Turner made 22 saves, while Jessica Cain stopped all 17 shots for the shutout.
